Inventions and Innovations
To address the annual theme, participants research a need - and brainstorm a solution - for an invention or innovation of a device, system, or process. Participants document their work in an interactive display and the creation of a model/prototype. Semifinalists deliver a presentation about their work and participate in an interview.
Getting Started
In this step you will need to create a project folder and download the Project Resource Files:
- Open the folder called STEAM and Create a new folder inside of it called career-prep on your cloud storage (Onedrive)
- Right click the PROJECT RESOURCE FILES link and download the zip file > move it to your project folder > right click the ZIP file and extract the contents to your project folder.
- Open Microsoft Office and follow the video directions below to create your new files and save it to your project folder.
